Cloth with the weaver’s hand still in it

Rajjar, a village in Charsadda, has been known for its khaddar for generations. Each bolt we sell is woven on a hand-operated loom, one pass of the shuttle at a time — which is why no two pieces are ever exactly alike.

Frequently asked questions

Still unsure? Get in touch — we reply within a few hours.

What is Rajjar khaddar?

Rajjar khaddar is a hand-loomed cotton fabric woven in the village of Rajjar in Charsadda, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Weavers have produced it on traditional pit and frame looms for generations, giving it a slightly textured, breathable weave that softens with every wash.

How much cloth is in one suit?

Each men's suit piece is about 4.5 metres (5 yards), enough for a full shalwar kameez for most sizes. Taller or broader customers can order an extra metre — just mention it in the order notes.

What is the difference between textured and plain khaddar?

Textured khaddar uses a thicker, marled yarn with a dense, nubby weave and rich earthy colours. Plain khaddar has a smoother, flatter weave for a crisp, polished look in whites, creams and tans.

Will the fabric shrink?

Like all pure handloom cotton, khaddar can shrink slightly on the first wash. We recommend soaking the cloth in cold water before stitching, then washing gently in cold water afterwards.
